There's something funny about a goth/industrial night being held at the Meeting Place, 1707 L St NW, one of those downtown yuppie bars which usually have no business once the offices close -- instead of in some sketchy warehouse district somewhere (like Nation). But you've got to give props to the people who put on DC Midnight: the dance floor was never less than packed last Saturday night. And there was an added bonus, the guest presence of DJ Strange, who used to co-DJ those fun nights at the Blue Room with DJ Medusa before they stopped hosting DJ nights.
